If you would like to be considered for any of the below projects, please submit a short video performing a 1-2 minute Shakespeare monologue along with your headshot and resume to info@classicsontherocks.org. We will review all submissions and follow-up to schedule a callback Zoom interview / audition for those we’d like to see more from no later than April 1.

Shakesday: Create, Celebrate, and Connect!
Our now 2nd annual Virtual Shakesday will be held on Friday, April 23 at 7pm. Together, we will come together and celebrate Shakespeare by sharing some of our favorites scenes, monologues, and sonnets live on Zoom - streamed to Facebook.

Virtual Play: The Shoemaker's Holiday
Next up, in June we'll be giving Shakespeare some time off, as we present Thomas Dekker's The Shoemaker's Holiday! A hidden gem of Elizabethan theatre, Shoemaker's Holiday is a delightful slice of life story straight from the streets of London. This production will be a one night only performance, live streamed over Facebook, on Friday, June 25 at 7pm. Rehearsals will be held over Zoom beginning in May.

Summer Season Outside - To Be Confirmed
And finally, we are thrilled to announce that we are exploring the possibility of doing a live outdoor performance in late summer - CDC guidelines, NYC Department of Health permitting. We are currently working through the process for outdoor permitting, establishing clear Covid-19 safety protocols, and hope to have more information about this coming soon.
